SLYRS Story

The name SLYRS carries a deep Gaelic heritage, with Iro-Scottish roots that trace back to the year 779. It was then that five monks from Ireland and Scotland—Adalung, Hiltupalt, Kerpalt, Antonius, and Otakir—founded a monastery in the rugged Bavarian wilderness of Schliersee.

They named this sacred place SLYRS, which is pronounced "SCHLIERS," a name that today embodies the perfect fusion of Gaelic tradition and Bavarian craftsmanship. Though the name hails from the far reaches of Ireland and Scotland, SLYRS is unmistakably Bavarian, with a legacy rooted in the rich soil and timeless spirit of the region.

From these humble beginnings, the legacy of SLYRS continues to thrive, a true testament to the blending of cultures and the enduring pursuit of excellence.
